Woking Hospital Permanent Full time

Up to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience

As part of the SMT at Woking Hospital, you will play a key role in driving the hospital forward to develop and achieve our exciting goals for the future.

This will include driving revenues and ensuring that the hospital delivers an outstanding patient journey underpinned by excellent business process.

You will also support the hospital to maintain regulatory compliance and ensure excellent governance is in place, leading on facilities management and Health & Safety compliance.

You will lead non-clinical teams across the hospital, where you will embed professional standards. The teams include business administration, inpatient bookings, outpatient bookings, medical secretaries, sales and marketing, reception, housekeeping, portering and facilities management.

You will have direct line management for the department heads.

The successful candidate will oversee the development of a new outpatient bookings service to improve the patient booking experience, they will be responsible for leading the sales and marketing team to drive revenues into the hospital, and they will build strategic relationships with multiple stakeholders.

  • As a Sales and Services Manager, you will;
  • Play a key role within the Senior Management Team.

    Lead the hospital's non-clinical teams.

    Take responsibility for shaping and enhancing the patient journey.

    From booking, to outreach services and GP liaison, you will ensure the patient experience is excellent at every step.

    Take operational responsibility for revenue and activity KPIs alongside our customer facing teams.

    Review and improve processes, ways of working and capabilities. Also, ensuring that the customer is at the heart of everything we do.

    Champion Governance and Compliance from Health and Safety to Information Governance.

    Along the way, you will work closely with everyone from consultants to primary care contacts, patients and third parties, to maximise sales and growth opportunities.

  • To succeed as a Sales & Services Manager you will have;
  • Experience operating at a senior management level in a busy environment.

    Demonstrable experience in the service sector, ideally in hospitals.

    Proven delivery of results around business growth, leading teams to deliver excellent customer service.

    Strong understanding of marketing and the local area.

    Demonstrable experience in managing budgets.

    Ability to quickly understand situations, embrace and lead change.

    Flair for managing people, networking and forging strong stakeholder relationships.

    Confidence in building business plans and customer strategies and executing sales.

    Ability to develop strong relationships with consultants and work collaboratively with them to grow the business.

    Confident communicator to individuals at all levels and large groups.

    Experienced in facilities management with H&S compliance and governance implementation.
