Within a professional Finance Service, the Revenues Team is responsible for the billing and collection of Council Tax, Non-Domestic Rates and Business Improvement District Levy and we work proactively to support the changing needs of the organisation to ensure the best possible experience for all customers.
You will be a reliable and conscientious person, with a good work ethic and a keen attention to detail. You will ideally have some experience of working in a team and providing an excellent service to others.
You should ideally have experience in the billing, collection and recovery of Council Tax in a customer-facing environment.
You will be patient and diplomatic, with an ability to negotiate on all levels to gain the best possible solution for both customer and service, with an ability to use initiative to solve both expected and unexpected problems as well having the ability to uses IT Systems to interpret and input data and information accurately.
You'll relish a new challenge and find opportunities to make a difference whilst being comfortable working flexibly and communicating by telephone and digitally.

Previous experience working in Council Tax and recent use of Northgate iWorld Version 6 is preferable.
This key role, working as a member of the Council Tax team, will give you the chance to make a real contribution to improving the collection of revenue.
Directly responsible to the Team Leader, you will work in a team to develop the service and provide information to finance colleagues and others.
When required, you may be asked to deputise for the Team Leader.

You'll be based at our office in Keynsham and at home. Our business hours are 8 : 30 to 17 : 00 Monday to Thursday, and 8 : 30 to 16 : 30 on Friday.
Your main place of work will be the award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, easily accessible via car or public transport, with a train station 5 minutes’ walk away.
