We are looking to further this by expanding our London based sales team through the addition of a Pre-Sales eCommerce Solutions Consultant responsible for providing strategic and technical support to the UK sales team acting as the eCommerce and Marketplace expert for prospective Brands and Enterprise Retailers.

The Pre-Sales eCommerce Solutions Consultant will also play a significant part in growing the average deal’s size by finding out opportunities through a thorough discovery process and by building strong business cases for our prospects.

Excellence and achievement within the role will be defined by successfully acting as the eCommerce expert partnering the sales team demonstrated through a thorough understanding of the Channeladvisor offering, eCommerce and Marketplace strategies.

You will also act as the bridge between Sales and Services ensuring smooth continuity between pre-sales and post-sales.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Working closely with the sales team from discovery to contract stage helping them convey the ChannelAdvisor value proposition by acting as the eCommerce and Marketplace expert
  • Working with a broad range of prospective brands and enterprise retailers across Europe learning about their goals and challenges which you will use to build business cases and go to market strategies tailored to their needs
  • Conducting opportunity and benchmarking analysis which you will use to build strategies for prospective Brands and Enterprise Retailers
  • Creating well-structured and designed presentations that are clear and persuasive
  • Showing a clear passion about the eCommerce space and its developments
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and thought leader in your market
  • Field ad hoc technical inquiries from prospective clients regarding product functionality, industry strategy, implementation options, and / or full-service processes.
  • Being up to date with market trends and e-commerce news
  • Provide Sales Executives with product, channel and industry training.
  • Participate in cross-functional internal discussions to ensure that Sales needs are being met throughout the organisation.

  • A demonstrable track record of success within a mid to enterprise level E-Commerce organisation
  • Previous experience in working within a multinational Brand is strongly preferred
  • Proven experience of working with recognised global Marketplaces (Experience of Amazon and eBay are a must)
  • Confident speaking in front of an audience and in public
  • Strong communication skills to convincingly articulate complex ideas to a variety of key stakeholders from different functions in a clear and concise way
  • A clear understanding of, and ability to leverage, Business Case / ROI benefits within Sales campaigns
  • Must be willing to travel (typically a few times / month), if the client interaction warrants it
  • Ability to work with little instruction on day-to-day work, and achieve results when presented with only general instructions on new assignments
  • Pre-sales / consultancy experience preferred
  • Proficiency in a second European language preferred (French, Spanish, Dutch, Italian )
  • Candidates are expected to be able to demonstrate how they have effectively utilised the following traits & skills in a client facing, E-Commerce environment :
