It’s what we do best. Often our customers require two to one care, so you will work alongside your colleagues to provide continuity in care that supports their overall wellbeing.
This role is to assist three young gentlemen who live in a shared house in Yeovil, they are looking for a Senior Specialist Support Worker to support them with activities in the home and to access activities in their community.
They are looking for an experienced Support Worker who has previous experience of working with people on the autistic spectrum.
Staff members supporting these gentlemen need to have a calm approach, be able to stay calm under pressure, have experience of challenging behaviour, have patience and be able to adapt their approach to the situation and the gentleman they are supporting.
The Senior Support workers will provide support to access swimming, the cinema and other community activities that they currently take part in.
They will also need to actively support these gentlemen to pursue new activities and to develop their skills to be able to live a fulfilled life.
Experience with Learning Disabilities or Mental Health support for adults or children, either through employment or your own personal experiences is required for this role.
Recognised care certificates such as NVQ or CQF are desirable but not essential as we can offer training from day one and fantastic career pathways to develop you to gain these qualifications.
