Position Overview

As a Demi Chef de Partie at Wolfgang Puck's Restaurant CUT, you will be assisting in leading a section to provide exceptional food and service.

You will also be a part of training and developing Demi Chefs ad Commis Chefs.

Essential Functions & Physical Requirements

  • Together with the Chef de Partie or in absence, you are to supervise all cooking personnel in section. Sample, smell and observe food to ensure conformance to Wolfgang Puck recipes and standards
  • In the absences of CDP writes daily wine, dry storage, food requisitions and kitchen transfers on the appropriate forms for the approval of the Sous Chef in order to achieve the high stock rotation desired in the section
  • Together with the CDP or in absence, supervises and leads a team of Commis Chefs and Apprentices
  • Participates in food production and controls food costs
  • Maintains a clean and efficient kitchen section and ensures maximum utilisation of food and food rotation which will eliminate spoilage and waste
  • Qualifications and Desirables

  • Previous experience in a similar high and fast paced environment is desirable
  • Knowledge of other cooking techniques and styles
  • Good verbal and written English
  • Good understanding of food, hygiene and safety
  • Hotel or restaurant background
