Head of Development
Our client in Nottingham focus on ensuring that local client delivery remains technically excellent by giving their people the support environment they need in which to succeed.
They are looking for a Head of Development to encourage and demonstrate innovation, inspire and to keep up to date with the latest technology trends.
The Role
In addition to focusing on client delivery, our client wants to find someone that can also turn their attentions to people leadership for their Development Capability.
To be successful in this position you’ll have an inbuilt passion, bolstered with the drive and determination to improve.
You’ll be able to code, but know when to devolve ownership and responsibility for your work and ideas to the team.
Working closely with the Chief Architect, Head of Delivery and other stakeholders (around 25-30 in the team) you will take the company to new exciting technical directions whilst delivering quality outcomes for clients.
It’ll be up to you and the team to mould the Nottingham office into a collaborative, agile, innovative delivery able to tackle a variety of projects.
In addition to these, you’ll be responsible for developing the team further (through training and development) ensuring that the profile of the team aligns to the demands of the industry and the projects you deliver.
Technical Leadership
As a technical leader you’ll have a good breadth of technical delivery expertise and depth of knowledge in one or more of the following technologies :
You’ll know how to utilise your knowledge and interest of technologies to meet responsibilities, whilst also helping to create a delivery of accelerators.
Pre-Sales and Bid Activity
Bids are led on a regional basis, and are primed by our clients regional Head of Delivery. As Chief Software Architect for the Nottingham office you will work with the local management team to ensure the bids from the office are :
You’ll also be heavily involved in any pre-sales and market engagement processes, including : Meeting new clients, presenting at conferences, technical meet ups, blogging and more.
