Senior UCC Engineer

The Senior UCC Engineer works within the Technical Services team and is responsible for providing the technical skills to support our customers both onsite and remotely.

On a day to day basis, they are focused on designing, implementing and supporting voice solutions for our customers.

Location : Home Based UK, South

Salary : Dependent on experience + package including : Car, Phone, Laptop, Benefits package, certified training & more.

Additional duties include remote and onsite fault troubleshooting, facilitating customer adds, moves & changes, customer rollouts and other project based installs.

Additionally, they are involved in the design and specification of a wide range of solutions for customers in all vertical sectors on a wide variety of platforms.

Responsibilities :

  • Design and installation of projects focused around Cisco Unified Communication portfolio including Unified Communication Manager, Unity Connections, Unity, IM & Presence
  • Provide analysis and solution specification based on customer requirements.
  • Review and feedback on customer specified solutions for compliance to best practice
  • Complete project and scope documentation to allow customer quotation and project scoping.
  • Conduct project based site survey and documentation
  • Customer familiarisation and handover training
  • On-site and remote support of customer faults, assess and swap non-functional equipment
  • Scope and complete customer add, move and change requirements
  • Design and present knowledge transfer modules to engineers to increase the skills levels of the engineering team.
  • The Person :

    You will have experience implementing network and voice solutions focusing on the Cisco Unified Communications product suite within a field service team.

    At a minimum you should hold a CCVP or CCNP Voice / Collaboration certification. Ideally, you should have a good general switching and routing knowledge.

    Familiarisation with other manufacturer’s network solutions would be beneficial.

    Fundamental to this role :

  • Extremely well organised with good communication skills and excellent spoken / written English.
  • Experience deploying and troubleshooting Cisco Voice solutions
  • Applies knowledge and skills through handling problems beyond own area of expertise.
  • Experience and knowledge of the following Cisco UC products is essential, CUCM version 7 - 10, CUCME, Unity, Unity Connection, Unified Presence / IM & Presence, H323, MGCP, SIP, CUxAC, CUBE.
  • Experience of any of the following would be beneficial; UCCX, UCCE, TelePresence, Meeting place, ARC, Webex, Cisco Prime Collaboration products.
  • Good customer facing experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
