Position Description

  • Installation of IT & LIS connectivity in Molecular diagnostic lab environment
  • Accountable for installation and configuration of LIS connectivity including IT equipment of QIAGEN instrument to the Lab LIS system
  • Align installation projects with other QIAGEN support teams and customer LIS provider and IT support
  • Pre- and Post-sales support
  • Continuous improvement of support processes
  • Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree REQUIRED, IT, Computer Science or related fields preferred or alternatively biology background with high affinity to IT solutions (Molecular biological application)
  • 3-5 years’ experience with service, installation, configuration and troubleshooting of IT, Network and Software
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Labor Information System connectivity; different type of messages, like ASTM and HL7 or others
  • Knowledge and experience with SQL databases, writing queries and reporting
  • Proficient knowledge of network hardware and network routing
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows Server environments including Active Directory
  • Knowledge of security protocols, remote diagnostics and affiliated topics
  • Good technical understanding of analysis processes, ideally within molecular diagnostic laboratories
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
