Calderdale Young People’s Service has just undergone a restructure and is working toward our ambition to be the best Youth Service in the country.
To achieve this aim we are developing the Orange Box Young Peoples Centre as the central hub for all young people in Calderdale.
It will be the home to Targeted Youth Work, Young Carers Service, Play Service, Youth Voice and Youth Justice Service as well as a host of local and national partners.
Together we will deliver on a cohesive and ambitious Youth Support strategy to help develop young people across Calderdale to achieve the best they possibly can.
The role of the Site Supervisor is to be the key essential contact for customer and tenant enquiries and to handle the day to day running of the centre from the Orange Box reception area.
The role will also include the work supporting hires, monitoring and managing social media, building issues and generating reports on building usage and outcomes from the use of management information systems.
The role is front facing, often being the 1st point of contact for young people in need of support whilst their appointed worker becomes available and will support the development of a volunteer programme at the centre.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with young people and have a background of working within a hire / events type environment.
The candidate must want to work with young people and find ways to use the centre to the best of its ability to fulfil this aim.
They will be organised, communicative, friendly and have a background of customer service.
