Experian are pleased to announce an exciting new opportunity for a UK&I - Governance and Treasury Analyst.

The UK&I Accounting and Controls team are responsible for driving a best-in-class financial controls and governance framework to support a fast-paced business environment.

This is an integral role within the team and will be responsible for providing Treasury insights to senior management in the UK&I business to optimise cash management.

This will include designing and maintaining controls that to ensure that the UK&I complies with all Global and UK&I Governance policies.

What does the role entail?

The role provides an exciting opportunity to partner with a number of stakeholders within finance but also across wider business stakeholders.

The successful individual will hold a high profile role in which they will lead in designing and maintain controls on core financial activities.

Some of the key responsibilities, but are not limited to include :

Treasury and Tax Governance

You will be responsible for designing and maintaining controls that ensure we comply with Group Management Standards. This will include reporting on bank account liquidity, maintenance of bank mandates and managing foreign exchange hedging.

Treasury Advisory

You will work with the relevant global contact to optimise the funding structure of the UK entities. This will include any funding and refinancing related enquiries.

You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to simplify UK entities and bank accounts.

Investment Governance

You will be help co-ordinate and facilitate the process to analysis key strategic investments. This holds the responsibility for ensuring we have the correct governance in place for key investment decisions and working with the business to design an optimum post-investment review framework.

Corporate Development

You will help co-ordinate and facilitate on accounting activity for corporate development including any subsequent integrations.

What are we looking for?


  • A qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) with a demonstrable post-qualified experience, showing progressive financial experience across different roles.
  • Experience and Attributes

  • Solid technical accounting skills with the ability to research and reach appropriate conclusion when necessary.
  • Audit and / or Treasury experience preferable.
  • Experience with designing and implementing internal finance controls environment.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and solve problems in a team environment.
  • Ability to provide compelling recommendations and influence senior leaders (both finance and non-finance).
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who manages projects end-to-end and has a demonstrated track record of getting results, organising and prioritising deadlines.
  • High degree of integrity and ability to continue to operate under time-pressure and situations of ambiguity
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (written and oral). Ability to convey complex issues in a simple manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Ability to interact at all levels within the organisation and earn respect universally.
  • Ability to bring energy and their own personal to work.

    Technical Skills

  • Experience of working with various financial systems and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with Oracle is preferred
  • Expert level skills in Excel required
