QC Inspector (NDE)
Would you like to be involved with qualityinspection across advanced submarine platforms? We currently have a number ofopportunities for a QC Inspectors (NDE) at our site in Barrow-in-Furness.
As a QC Inspector (NDE), you will be working aspart of the Inspection and Non-destructive Testing (NDT) department across thelatest submarine platform.
You will be working within a team of inspectorsunder the supervision of a team leader, responsible for aspects of Welding Inspectionand Non-
Destructive Examination (NDE).
This extremely interesting and rewarding rolewill provide you with a wide variety of day-to-day activities, as well as thechance to learn about different tools and techniques.
Future career progressionopportunities include Team Leader and Principal level positions.
Your main responsibilities as a QC Inspector(NDE) will involve :
Liaising / interfacing with appropriate areasboth internally and externally, to ensure work schedule and results are communicatedto the appropriate areas
Understanding and interpretation of NonDestructive Examination (NDE) techniques, highlighting any non-conformances forinspections undertaken and report via SAP and the Joint Management Database
Adding value to QA standard documentation and processesby being part of the review team
Reporting results of inspections using agreedprocesses
Your skills and qualifications as a QCInspector (NDE) :
PCN Level II UT Plate & Pipe
CSWIP 3.1 or PCN Level II Welding Inspector
Understanding of NDE equipment and process andreporting
Sound computer skills in word and excel
UT 3.8 & 3.9 PCN Level II
ToFD PCN Level II
Phased Array PCN Level II
