You will have an immediate impact by partnering with our clients, across all levels, to deliver product planning, pricing, reimbursement, product commercialization, and regulatory and compliance solutions.

Responsibilities

This person will be a key leader within the practice, nurturing and expanding relationships with Guidehouse’s highest-level clients, taking responsibility for ensuring clients are satisfied with innovative strategic solutions.

As well as taking ownership of projects and commercial strategy, they will have responsibility to drive growth of the global practice, ensuring the most highly skilled people are bought into the team.

You would be working to create an environment in which the existing team are constantly learning, thriving and developing their skills.

As a director of the company they will champion Guidehouse’s culture of diversity and inclusion, leading team building activities to create a cohesive practice.

They will be forward thinking and proactive, particularly when anticipating market trends, ensuring solutions go beyond their immediate use for clients, and training their staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to add value to clients.

Acting as an ambassador for the firm, they will help to grow Guidehouse’s professional network by attending industry events, taking leadership roles within professional community organisations and presenting on topics of interest to clients and peers.

They will already be recognised internally and externally as an industry expert.

  • Working with the wider team to expand the company’s global outreach, by identifying, advancing and closing sales, both within their own practice and by pitching cross functional solutions to global clients.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the area of life sciences, with a primary focus on commercial strategy
  • Managing and developing the relationship with Guidehouse’s most high-level clients, acting as the overall point of contact, ensuring they are satisfied and communicating any developments to the wider team.
  • Defines a value proposition aligned with the client’s challenges and needs
  • Defines strategy while managing multiple complex engagements, working within budget while continuing to maximise profits and increase client value
  • Manage and develop the Life Sciences practice team and help to create new intellectual capital.
  • Ensures key performance milestones are met each year for the team and for themselves.
  • Creates hands on learning opportunity’ and instructs training sessions while identifying and encouraging the team to attend outside training and development opportunities.
  • Recognises and rewards individual and team contributions, encourages the ideas of others on the team
  • Shares expertise in one’s field by working side by side with clients in non-project capacities e.g., serving on boards of relevant organizations, developing thought leadership pieces (e.
  • g., journal articles, presentations at conferences)

  • Shares best practices throughout the global business while regularly evaluating operating models to improve efficiency.
  • Actively participates in firm wide initiatives

  • Qualifications

    Significant professional experience either in the biotech / pharma industry and / or within Life Sciences consulting

  • Must have a firm understanding of the market dynamics of the Life Sciences industry
  • Key experience in areas such as :
  • Product, portfolio, therapeutic area and market assessments
  • Development and Commercialization planning
  • Launch planning and execution
  • Value proposition and message development
  • Health-economic evidence generation
  • Lifecycle management evaluations and strategy
  • Motivation to develop and sell project work, leveraging existing contacts and developing new ones
  • Experience of successfully directing, managing and implementing business strategy
  • A solid contact base from which to begin to develop work
  • Experience in winning and management of projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to sustain annual revenue generation and grow annual revenue generation toward a target level
  • Proposal writing experience including budget development and managing proposal timeline with a variety of subject matter experts providing input
  • Demonstrated interest in and experience with building companies and groups during early growth phases
  • Leadership positions within employer organizations and on industry-related boards
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with a high degree of personal initiative
  • Ability to travel
