To accurately configure Network, Customer and OSS CI’s and parameters as well as Devices to ensure a reliable service across the Airwave network achieved via the use of Incident, Change & Order Delivery Management processes

Change and Order Delivery Management processes.

o Network Management Centre
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :
Ensuring the integrity and alignment of configuration data within the Network and federated CMS.
Ensure all data applied to the provisioning systems is to agreed quality standards and is submitted within agreed timeframes / SLA’s whilst minimising the risk of service disruption to live public safety
o Provide configuration support to key stakeholders.
o Concise and real time Case Management including updates and communication to relevant parties.
o Manage routine Audit and Alignment / KPIs to required frequency and standard.
o Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support to a range of technologies to resolve issues.
o Maintaining internal user guides and process documentation of core areas are a requirement of this role to achieve ISO20K status.
Knowledge of Document Control & Configuration management in Engineering or IT environment is desirable.
o Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
o Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills as well as mentoring junior members of staff where applicable.
The engineer should be a competent individual with a passion for technology. An analytical mindset will be essential for effective troubleshooting and improving the network’s functions and successful
fault management in a logical and methodical manner.
o Should have a mix of excellent attention to detail and accuracy, high level of IT literacy and the ability to pick up technical jargon quickly.
Should also be a confident communicator with
all levels of seniority with both internal and external customers.
o Configuration engineers usually work a standard work week but can be asked to work longer hours when timing requires as well as working at other company or partner sites. An on-call
element to cover 24 / 7 is applicable to the role.

Technical Expertise :
Academic and Technical Qualifications :
o ITIL Foundation (Desirable).
o Must have HNC / + level in a technical or engineering subject or equivalent industry experience.
Other technical expertise, experience and knowledge :
o Knowledge of public or military safety communication systems, including detailed knowledge
of the following :
o Good understanding of Tetra, specifically Motorola Dimetra (R6.x R7.x, R8.x) design / interfaces / operation / maintenance.
o Good understanding and knowledge of TCP / IP protocols.
o Understanding of LAN and WAN protocols.
o Detailed knowledge of Firewall principles.
o Good knowledge of ISO20K and ITIL principles.
o Experience in a NoC or NMC environment.
o Trouble Ticketing applications preferably Remedy 8 or above.
o SC Security Clearance.
o Proficiency in the use of computer programs (Microsoft and Google) for :
