Sales Support - Bassetts (VP Jebb) - Based in Belfast, County Antrim

  • the family-run business was founded in 1958 at Peters Hill in north Belfast . The team has always been committed to putting customers at the heart of everything it does and offering the very best service, making it a perfect fit for Bassetts' branch network.

    Due to business expansion, we now have a Sales Support position available. The role contains aspects of administration surrounding sales, invoicing, purchase ledger, stock control and telephone answering.

    Job Responsibilities :

  • Assist in ensuring monthly routines surrounding sales and purchase ledger are maintained.
  • Resolve Invoice queries with suppliers and branch staff.
  • Maintain KPI’s set against Purchase Ledger and Administration Processing.
  • Ensure monthly routines are maintained and assist in preparation for reporting within strict PLC guidelines.
  • Ensure all paperwork is handled efficiently.
  • Ensure stock is maintained and controlled at a satisfactory level and that proper purchasing procedures are followed.
  • To plan, organise and coordinate sales and deliveries, to ensure the highest level of customer service is achieved.
  • Back office support to the wider branch network.
  • Implementing good practices and processes for efficiency.
  • Liaising with and reporting to head office management and head office administration support.
  • Ad-hoc data entry or project work for the business.
  • Criteria :

  • Able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Evidence of previous success in a sales support role.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills self-motivated and professional personality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • A strong team player, self-motivated and able to demonstrate experience of working on their own initiative.
