As such, we now have an opportunity to join the digital product team on a fixed-term contract.
We need a seasoned Product Owner who can hit the ground running to work on our Omnichannel Transformation programme. This is all about the connected customer, shopping how they want, when they want and wherever they want.
It’s an extremely busy time for the Product team, so we need someone who can assist with some support work a variety of tasks and across multiple priorities at pace.
If you are comfortable dealing with NFRs, SEO and tagging one month and then leading a cross-functional team on a feature the next, then this could be for you.
The ideal person will need to roll up their sleeves from the outset and get into the weeds and someone who can navigate a large enterprise business with many stakeholder groups, both onshore and offshore.
You will need to be comfortable presenting to all levels and, needless to say, you are highly collaborative.
You will be working alongside multiple product owners across a variety of projects during the course of the contract
The role will be to work on a new customer experience across eCommerce platforms and customer and colleague apps
At times, this role will be to support Product Owners in the team role, at other times it will oversee its own features
You will initially be working in a support capacity across the technical architecture, so working alongside multiple teams covering aspects of the digital landscape (those NFRs, SEO and many others).
You can define goals and inspire the team to meet commitments by connecting these goals to the broader program vision and the value of the work
You will need to work with multiple business stakeholders and can collaborate well and present confidently to all levels, including senior directors
As a PO you will be very used to working with engineering and UX teams, but we also need someone who is comfortable working with data and insight teams, BA functions, Programme managers as well as teams onshore and offshore
You should be able to wear ambiguity like your favourite jumper but be able to create clarity from this
As a PO you will need to lead your workload, so a self starter with bags of enthusiasm would do well in this role
At all times you will need to represent the customer and make sure their needs, and those of the business are not overlooked or relegated
You will be familiar with a large variety of product tools without the need for training
It’s important that you can get into a stride and hit the ground running to offer value quickly
Strong understanding of agile product management and development methodologies.
Demonstrated success in bringing new products to market
Previous management of products within a large organisation
Proven ability to engage and align (senior) stakeholders and keep them engaged
2-3+ years eCommerce or related business experience required
eCommerce / Retail experience is a bonus
