£22,000 - £27,000 On a Pro Rata basis
Full-Time (8 : 45am 4 : 45pm Monday to Friday)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Assistant to join our well-established client based in the Wolverhampton area on a fixed term contract.
As a Payroll Assistant your main duties will be to assist the Payroll Administrator and Payroll Manager with the weekly payroll.
The role is a Fixed Term Contract due to them migrating on to a new system and now needing additional support to ensure they follow company procedure.
Key tasks and responsibilities;
Provide support to the overall Payroll function and ensure staff are paid on time
Assist with the input of relevant weekly or monthly data into the appropriate payroll company to ensure that employees are paid the correct money for time worked
Dealing with payroll related issues
Assist in running the payroll and producing reports from the system for the payroll records
Assist in the reconciliation of payroll balances at the end of each month and at the year end for both financial accounting and HMRC purposes
Keeping up to date with changes in legislation
Key skills needed for the role;
Have at least two year’s experience within a payroll setting
Have good Excel skills
Up to date knowledge of Payroll legislation
Key communication skills
Able to support other members in the team
