An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Human Capital Management (HCM) software Account Management team based at our Manchester offices in Piccadilly Gardens.

You'll be working closely with the Internal Account Management team to make contact with an agreed set of customers, managing day to day queries and transactions, and where appropriate generate additional sales revenue from customers through effective cross-

sell and up-sell activity of our HR & Payroll software products.

As an Account Manager, you'll be responsible for supporting the effective account management of all IRIS Accountancy software customers and support customer retention by building excellent customer relationships and resolution of issues pre-renewal.

What will you be doing?

As an Account Manager in this team, your day-to-day tasks will typically involve the following :

  • Implementing agreed call campaigns to the customer segments Retention Campaign monthly Training campaign - responding to newsletter activity
  • Exceeding targets this role will have a quota element
  • Creating new sales pipeline through telephone-based activity and achieving agreed KPI’s as directed by your manager
  • Working proactively with marketing, offering campaign ideas for call out and specific e-shot activity
  • Handling all inbound customer related Account Management calls
  • Continually updating and cleansing the customer database with key marketing and competitor information as directed
  • Recruiting attendees for the customer events program and providing pre and post event follow up support
  • Promoting the IRIS brand in a friendly, professional manner.
  • What are we looking for?

    We're looking for an experienced salesperson with the following skills and experience :

    Essential :

  • Excellent customer service / account management skills - experience of dealing with existing clients
  • Proven sales experience
  • Microsoft Office experience (Excel, Word)
  • Experience of speaking to senior management, e.g. Finance Directors, Managing Directors, etc.
  • Previous Sales Training; e.g. open questions, call handling, overcoming objections, persuasion skills etc.
  • Sales pipeline management experience
  • Desirable :

  • B2B sales experience
  • Knowledge of the HR / payroll professions or IT software products
