Are you new to care or an experienced support worker looking for your next exciting opportunity? Come and join us at our brand new service opening very soon.

You will be joining a new staff team, based in our home called Fourwinds in Great Leighs, Chelmsford.

This service will be supporting the NHS Transforming Care Programme and will involve supporting vulnerable people to transition from secure / hospitalised settings into a home of their own.

Candidates will be required to work within a variety of settings in support of this and therefore will need to be resilient, capable and able to see the bigger picture in terms of the part they will play in supporting people to realise their potential and also the opportunities, changes and challenges this next stage in their life will present.

No experience is needed as full training will be given.

Location : Great Leighs, Chelmsford, CM3 1QD

Permanent : Full time, working 35 hours per week. Shifts are all nights, working 9.45pm to 7.45am, including working weekends and Bank Holidays.

£9.50 per hour

Additional Information : As this location is rural, you will ideally have a driving licence and your own transport as there are no public transport links.

As a Waking Night Support Worker you will play a vital part in providing the people we support with care and be able to profoundly improve their quality of life.

You willassist people who are unable to live independently by offering them the practical help they need, as well as emotional support.

This will include :

  • Remaining awake throughout the night to ensure the safety of the people we support
  • Monitoring any concerns in relation to disturbed sleep patterns and follow relevant support plans designed to promote sleep and wellbeing
  • Cleaning, stock control, administering and recording medication
  • Complying with health and safety requirements and ensuring the environment at night is safe

    You do not need to have experience to be a Waking Night Support Worker, although a basic level of English and Maths is required.
