The Data & Analytics Audience Targeting team is responsible for developing targeting solutions which enable marketing communications and treatments for Chase Card, Home Lending, Auto Finance and Merchant Services customers.

Within Audience Targeting, the Marketing Analytics Associate collaborates with our campaign stakeholders to understand the business strategy and develop SAS code that generates customer lists and attributes.

Strong technical writing and communication skills are required in order to finalize requirements and to create a framework for how the program will be executed.

These programs operate in a highly regulated in environment, requiring the adherence to policies and procedures that ensure we maintain the highest standards of quality for our customers as well as audit readiness.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and document technical specifications
  • Develop, debug, and execute SAS / SQL code to define populations for campaigns
  • Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and document technical specifications
  • Research data elements for targeting using database metadata
  • Produce data validations on campaign populations to ensure marketing requirements are met
  • Identify correlations / trends in data, and communicate impacts that could affect results of the campaign
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with campaign stakeholders
  • Create process improvements and keep relevant departmental documentation evergreen
  • Technical Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of SAS (Base SAS on Unix preferred) or demonstrated ability to quickly learn a new programming language
  • 3-5 years of experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle and Teradata
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and correspondence skills
  • Results-oriented with proactive approach to eliminating problems
  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
  • Ability to listen / observe / acknowledge / lead by example and provide recommendations

  • Adaptability to changing information systems environment
  • QUALIFICATIONS Preferred

  • Experience with programming languages like VB, VBA, Java, Perl, Python, and Unix shell scripting
  • Background in marketing operations, direct marketing or marketing data analysis
  • EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
  • Concentration in relevant technical fields is preferred (Computer Science, Statistics, etc.)
