A position is available for a Senior Pharmacy / HCP strategist to join McCann’s HCP driven strategy team, working at a global level and centred in London.

Working with an integrated team drawing on the best of McCann’s expertise in consumer, health and wellness, you will be the lead subject matter expert within the team, providing insights, practice nuances and helping guide strategies and activations.

The role is part of the evolving specialist McCann Health Expert competency working in a team of specialist HCP strategists.

You will report into the Global SVP in Expert Marketing and work side-by-side with key business leadership and creative peers to drive the business forward.

About the Opportunity :

You will be responsible for guiding client work to ensure it is relevant and engaging for our HCP target audiences, providing subject matter insights and consultancy across therapy areas / global brands in both Rx and consumer health.

The role is perfect for a HCP who is passionate about clinical practice, providing thought leadership and enjoys working in a fast paced strategic and creative environment

About You :

  • You’ll be a qualified HCP (e.g Pharmacist / Nurse / Physician) with a base knowledge in healthcare practice and a number of years’ experience whether this lies in primary, secondary or tertiary care.
  • You will have the necessary commercial / marketing / strategic experience, either within pharma, agency setting, life science consultancy or similar;
  • with a proven track record of establishing great working relationships with client and agency teams alike.

  • You’ll be able to input and create tactical activation plans and ideas that contribute towards the wider strategic needs of our clients, with a drive to positioning the HCP (expert) as a key influencer when it comes to treatment recommendation.
  • You will offer a unique insight towards strategic health, with an inside knowledge of regulations, practice changes and HCP business challenges in a rapidly changing healthcare environment.
  • Working at a global level for multiple clients, you’ll be accustomed to working across markets with an awareness in varying culture and regulatory requirements.
  • You’ll be comfortable self-directing your work, yet willing to take on board feedback and input from other disciplines / clients.
  • You will be able to review copy from a HCP perspective, ensuring content is aligned to current practice and relevant for the appropriate HCP or target audience in mind.
  • You’ll be passionate and experienced in delivering effective creative excellence which is also aligned and resonates with practicing HCPs.
  • A confident presenter and quick thinker, you’ll be able to manage detailed and expansive conversations, thinking and acting quickly on your feet.
  • You’ll have demonstrable experience in not just maintaining but expanding business organically, hunting down new opportunities in partnership with other senior leaders on the account.
