Due to our ongoing growth, SYSTRA Scott Lister currently have an opportunity for a Senior Consultant - RAMS Engineering based in our London Head Office.

The position will be responsible for the provision of subject matter expertise and consulting services across RAMS Engineering activities.

Working closely with a variety of clients across the transport sector, the position will afford you the opportunity to apply your expertise, often as part of a multi disciplinary systems integration team.

The role will be part of a well-established,collaborative and respected team comprising of various Engineering specialists across the UK and Australia.

The role :

  • Work across projects involving rail infrastructure, rolling stock and signalling, providing a range of consulting services to clients, in the field of RAMS Engineering.
  • Undertake BS EN 50126 RAMS activities including; reliability / availability predictions and modelling, FMECAs, Fault Tree analysis, HAZOP, and review of BIM analysis as part of maintainability analyses.
  • Ensure the full management and delivery of projects, whilst ensuring the ongoing development and management of strategic client relationships.
  • Project manage staff and directly manage sub-contractors whilst supporting junior RAMS members of the team.
  • Deliver support to RAMS activities in other sectors and provide input to proposal writing and future tender submissions.
  • Promote the SYSTRA Scott Lister brand to help the team secure business opportunities in existing projects and new ones.
  • Be a trusted contributor to project requirements, leveraging your knowledge from a RAMS Engineering perspective.
  • Cross collaborate with team members to manage the minimisation of project risks and enhance the positive integration / delivery of SYSTRA Scott Lister services.
  • Required experience & skill s :

  • Degree Qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering or an allied subject relevant to client assets.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience with previous RAMS Engineering, and knowledge in the application of rail CSM.
  • Knowledge of Rail (highly desirable); Civil Aviation or defence (desirable).
  • Able to perform detailed research and analysis coupled with proposal writing.
  • Proven abilities to build sound working relationships across diverse groups, internally and externally.
  • Demonstrate a robust commercial acumen and a proactive approach to assist in the development of innovative solutions.
