What's the role about?

Senior Management Accountant


Package : £40,000 to £45,000 per annum + annual company bonus

Working : Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

Location : Hybrid work from home and Winnersh office (RG41)

The Senior Management Accountant will form part of a team focusing on maintaining and driving gross profit as well as supporting the Financial Controller in producing monthly results.

Responsibilities :

  • Primary team lead for multi market / multi-currency based client accounts dealing with both revenue recognition along with cost management for these revenue streams
  • Working closely with the other management accountants ensuring accuracy in reporting
  • Review meetings with the wider business around performance reflecting any adjustments in the following period
  • A key contact for gross profit related queries, providing financial support when necessary
  • Manage customer reconciliations and related processing including cost plus reconciliations
  • Engagement with upper management across the business to assist in the management of client accounts
  • Assistance in the building of quotations / budgets for new and existing clients
  • Month end reporting and processing including enhancements utilising Power BI.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Involved with building annual financial budgets
  • Produce monthly forecasting
  • Process monthly journals, including but not limited to, accruals, prepayments, deferred income, Accrued Income
  • Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Be a key user of our European financial reporting system, BPC (a SAP based product) including month end submissions
  • Help to maintain Dynamics 365, i.e. creating new nominal codes, financial statement layouts etc.
  • Requirements :

  • Qualified ACCA, CIMA or close to finalising a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience of dealing with cost plus revenue recognition models essential
  • Experience in dealing with accrued and deferred revenue accounting essential
  • Strong management accounting experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience in month end processes
  • Demonstrable experience in creating new processes, tools and reports
  • Dynamics 365 experience desirable
  • SOX experience desirable
  • Strong financial system skills
