We are looking for a senior project manager to lead a new global tech program, Unity, spanning all of the client. The Unity program includes a highly resilient and available platform to provide a centralized authority for all transactions, including but not limited to markets trading, commercial payments and loans.
As such, the scope and importance of the Unity program are massive.
As a project manager, you would be responsible for high level leadership of the program across the client, engaging stakeholders, driving and coordinating enterprise integration deliverables, providing clear and transparent status through GANT charts, C-level and executive leadership communications, and aligning the Unity technology team's roadmap with those of Unity's partners.
Responsible for the stability and support of an enterprise scale, global, franchise critical platform. Includes building on existing monitoring, failover and resiliency.
Accomplishes results through hands-on support and by managing a global team of professionals.
Plans and organizes workload and effectively delegates responsibilities to the team.
Acquires and maintains in-depth understanding of platform applications, the connected systems and how these collectively work together to effectively coordinate solutions and deliver results.
Requires strong communication and diplomacy skills in order to guide and influence results.
Manages daily tasks for Operations team to deliver results for our clients and ensure stability of the platform.
Responsible for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of the Technical Operations team.
Able to assess and identify areas of risks within the environment and application.
Performs post-mortems when issues arise and define steps to prevent recurrence and protect the platform.
Ability to handle incidents, problems and change at a global enterprise level, while confidently representing the application to clients and relevant systems.
Performs controlled and timely resolution of incidents and problems including prioritization and escalation to relevant groups when appropriate, root cause analysis of all problems with follow-through to resolution.
Requires awareness of audit and compliance related items and issues.
Contributes to formulation of strategies for application support and related areas.
Contributes to the development of staff by proper delegation and identifying areas of weakness and planning to increase effectiveness in those areas.
Experience leading a global Operations team, preferably 2+ years, demonstrating delegation
Extensive experience working hands-on in an application support role / team
Well-versed in Linux and be able to navigate and troubleshoot applications in this environment
Experience supporting and troubleshooting Java applications, preferable to have some knowledge of GC operations
Preferable to have experience in supporting / working in financial or franchise critical application or similar high-cost / high-visibility area that demonstrates ability to act quickly and appropriately in high stress environment
DB experience, preferably admin-like experience and preferable to have experience with MongoDB
