Summary

We are moving through an exciting transformation journey, and we are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our Colleague Services Team in Salford Quays, to support with our business as usual’ processes and projects.

The role will see you engaging with key stakeholders and working collaboratively with operational areas of the business and our suppliers to plan, drive and control project activities.

The role would be ideal for someone who is able to respond decisively and informatively to issues that may arise. This person will also have a commercial focus, to ensure the business case quantifies potential benefits which are realised.

Your key responsibilities will include :

  • Planning, controlling, managing and be accountable for overall delivery of defined Projects within Colleague Services
  • Working with operational teams and stakeholders to identify business needs, plan and manage activity within agreed timescales
  • Ensuring adherence to defined project methodology and standards to ensure robust quality of project outcomes
  • Developing a set of actionable and targeted plans; including communication plan, stakeholder management plan, training plan and all core activities associated with the project
  • Working with operational teams post implementation to review implementation and benefits realisation
  • Engaging with key stakeholders, subject matter experts and operational areas to ensure that any business case quantifies potential business benefits
  • Establishing and maintaining good relationships with the operational teams, project stakeholders and suppliers resolving conflicting priorities or issues that may arise
  • familiarising with tools and techniques to make the right decisions and escalations for risks and issues affecting the delivery of projects
  • A Pro-active and visible support to senior leaders across Colleague Services and relevant project sponsors
  • Identifying risks and issues associated with projects and develop mitigation plans for these
  • Constantly and consistently provide feedback and updates to the stakeholders on project progress
  • Your skills and experience will include :

  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Good influencing skills across organisation and external organisations as appropriate
  • Knowledge and experience of lean process methodology and process improvement
  • Solid understanding of project methodologies, tools & techniques
  • Ability to plan the stages of a project and manage a fully resourced project plan
  • Ability to recognise, and mitigate risks within people, process, systems and service elements of the project
