Our Clinical Plus positions are perfect for experienced Vets and RVNs who wish to be involved in non-clinical work while still undertaking an interesting clinical caseload.

We are now recruiting a Vet or Nurse to help us in our employer branding journey to create awesome content for our social media platforms and website.

We operate 10 not-for-profit surgeries, and all are growing fast. Clinical Plus

Our Clinical Plus roles are about tapping into the expertise of experienced vets and RVNs to help in areas from client education, mentoring colleagues through to procurement and governance.

It’s a great opportunity to help sculpt veterinary provision and enjoy a mix of clinical and non-clinical work.

On the clinical side, there will be exposure to an interesting caseload, biased towards sick pets and a great opportunity to use your skills.

But a minimum of one day a week is set aside to applying those skills to something project-based that affects all of our surgeries.

This can be a refreshing way to work where you both help your own patients directly and the wider veterinary team and population of pets in your dual role.

In the non-client facing work, you’ll have an area that will be your responsibility to manage, lead and develop where you’ll be working with other professionals across the organisation to create something to be proud of.

Current Vacancy

We’re looking for an exceptionally creative and driven person to lead our organic social channels, build our online community and create best-in-class content.

Building and managing an organisation’s reputation as an employer has been proven to demonstrably increase the quality of individuals we hire, the level of engagement that existing employees have and, ultimately, can be shown to assist in the profitability of the organisation overall.

Developing a coherent, compelling and relevant employer brand message is therefore a vital part of our ongoing people strategy.

Your core responsibilities will be as follows :

  • Developing video and photographic content to showcase Animal Trust as an employer of choice
  • Create content for key collateral, including brochures, flyers, candidate web page and digital assets such as awareness and recruitment adverts and landing pages
  • Working with the CEO and Head of Communications to define ongoing social media strategy across organic channels
  • Growing the number of followers and increasing engagement on our main channels (Facebook / Instagram), whilst also scoping out potential new channels (e.g., TikTok, YouTube)
  • Developing and delivering a content calendar to align with our values and meet business objectives.
  • Creating best-in-class, engaging content to host on Instagram (feed, stories, reels, IGTV)
  • Proactive and reactive community management
  • Keep up to date with evolving social media features and trends as well as keeping a close eye on and taking learnings from what other brands are doing across different channels
  • This role can be based at any of our surgeries, with travel to other sites essential.

  • You must have a genuine passion for social media and a proven track record of managing your own social platform
  • You are a people person’ and enjoy providing excellent experiences and content to the online community
  • You have enough confidence to engage with veterinary professionals online
  • Excellent communications skills to be able to write effectively and in the tone of the brand
  • Able to use video content to create supporting marketing materials for social media
  • Able to adjust and adapt with the demands of the role, juggling multiple tasks & challenges across the Digital and Social ecosystem along with your clinical role!

  • 4 day working week with 1 day (or 2 half days) being dedicated to project work, this may increase depending on the demands of the role
