    Who you’ll be working with

    The Sustainability Compliance Team are sustainability and compliance specialists. We provide central support services to all of the UK disciplines and to other Group countries.

    Our services include; thought leadership, supply chain assessment and management of risk, provision of supply chain data and by way of projects the development of tools, policy, processes and best practices in sustainable procurement.

    The focus of your role

    To focus on the demands of our clients and the maturing of this topic area in the market place and the future of procurement means that this is a busy, expanding and forward moving area in which to work.

    This is an opportunity to use your range of skills and knowledge, including the ones you don’t know you have and acquire new ones.

    What you’ll do

  • Participate in all aspects of the work of the team.
  • Produce high standard process documentation to support audits and ISO14001.
  • Development and transformation of processes and policy
  • Undertake project work either independently or as part of the team. The projects may range from conducting audits of suppliers, the implementation and support of the supplier assessment tool, to the management of a campaign for targeted supplier groups and action plans for individual suppliers.
  • Supplier contact & engagement
  • What you’ll bring

  • Desire to learn with interest in sustainability / procurement and our supply chain.
  • Experience delivering high quality services to internal clients
  • Must have good communication skills in particular writing, presentation and influencing skills. This job requires cold calling suppliers and having the ability to quickly establish positive relationships
  • Must have proven ability to draft policies, processes and best practices.
  • An analytical and creative mind is a must.
  • The ideal candidate will be a team player, focussing at all times on achieving personal and shared success. Able to work as part of a virtual team with team members both on and off-shore
  • Organised, calm under pressure, proactive, collaborative, confident, self-motivated attention to detail and tenacious.
  • Must be able to prioritise, time manage own work load and hit targets

  • Good Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint & Outlook skills
  • Desirable

  • Practical experience of corporate procurement, supply chains and dealing with internal clients or experience of sustainability
  • Have some experience of producing all media collateral and communications (including builder tool use for internal comms).
  • Experience of working in projects either as a team member or preferably small to medium project management experience
