Forward Planning & Optimisation Manager

The role will sit in the Office of the CCO and the main function is tosupport the Chief Controls Officers of BBplc, BUK and BX and their leadershipteams, with Strategy, Planning, Performance Management and Operations of theControls Business Partnering transaction cycle.

In addition to these core responsibilities the team also partner withthe Control Business Partners to provide oversight and support around theBarclays Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and Barclays ControlFramework.

What will you be doing :

  • Oversee cost and resourcemanagement including ensuring effective cost controls are in place.
  • Medium to long- term planning to provide an accurate portrayal of futureperformance, cost, headcount and activity that will drive service value,efficiency & effective deployment of resources within the agreed budget.

  • Manage the planning andcoordination of colleague engagement initiatives Support and lead CBPdeliverables through effective communication, guidance and co-ordination acrossControls and its stakeholders.
  • Contribute to storytelling for CCO deliverables, pulling together the story andinformation to showing performance and insight.

    Enhance the quality and consistency of information / reporting / communicationswithin the team

  • Support the implementation ofCCO operational projects and programmes, working alongside key stakeholders toensure consistency and approach enables the most effective and efficientprocesses are adopted.
  • Challenge the status quo across CCO, exploring opportunities for operationalefficiencies, simplification of processes and enhancements to the way we dobusiness

  • Support change facilitation inresolving issues or ad interim while formal processes and governance are stoodup
  • Drive collaboration across service, functional and support teams. Identifyintersections between teams to prioritise and anticipate emerging businessimpacts.

    Lead and coordinate Control Business Partner activities as part of the deliveryof CBP services

  • Skills that will help you in the role :

  • Proven experience in managing cost analysis,budgeting, financial management and forecasting, having worked as a BusinessManager or in a Finance role
  • Experience of working in an OperationalControl environment or Risk and Control role
  • Practical understanding of relevant regulatory environment. Record of high performancein previous roles

  • The successful candidate will be aself-starter with the ability to learn complex subject matter quickly,multi-task, adapt to an ever-changing regulatory environment, and develop andimplement pragmatic solutions.
