Cosma Casting UK has established a manufacturing facility in Telford, UK. For this venture, we are looking for a Team Leader (Concept).

Cosma Casting UK specialises in high pressure die-casting that designs and builds medium to large aluminium die-cast automotive components.

Role Summary

Reporting to the Business Unit Supervisor, the Team Leader for the Safety, Quality, Output of the assigned area on a day to day basis, whilst upholding Magna’s standards and driving continuous Improvement.

Note : Applications received will be processed through our onsite recruiter : Randstad. Note : The roles available are : 1 on double days (6am to 2pm and 2p to 10pm).

Key Responsibilities

This role entails but is not limited to : -

  • Safety promotion of employees and processes PPE Auditing, LOTO, COSHH; Job ability quality sign off and building of competence and confidence of technical skills;
  • Leading Teams and delivering Tier 1 daily meetings, supporting escalation when required

  • Problem solving and Kaizen seeking root cause for downtime or quality issues using CI tools; Deliver the Autonomous Maintenance schedule;
  • Human Relations building and developing a high performing Team addressing T&A issues, Return to Work and recognition of high performing individuals;
  • Promote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant and adhere to all Health and Safety environmental requirements.

    Key Qualifications / Requirements

  • Essential : Proven Production leadership experience; Experience within castings sector; Experience of problem solving 3C;
  • Use of 5S to improve production environment ; Group communication delivery; Ability to carry out Risk Assessments; Good working knowledge of Microsoft;
  • Able to create SWIs; Use of KPI’s to track performance; Ability to carry out audits Desirable : White belt trained; IOSH Qualification;
  • Tier 1 automotive supply; Familiar with CLAIR approach (Clean, Lubricate, Adjust, Inspect, Repair).
