Complex Care Assistant

£9.75 per hour with enhancements for weekends and bank holidays

Pay rates

Weekday - £9.75 per hour

Weekend - £10.46 per hour

Bank Holidays - £12.64 per hour

We are looking for someone to join our Complex Care team.

The team at SCA Care believe that helping people live the life they want to lead is extremely important everyone should have the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

Our exciting Complex Care Service has been launched to support adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs to build and maintain life skills, including domestic activities such as cooking and cleaning, as well as budgeting, shopping, seeking employment and / or further education as well as discover new social activities.

You’ll always be supported and looked after by your SCA Care colleagues and wider Social Care in Action family, and full training will be provided.

A Complex Care Assistant’s role can be wide and varied no two days are the same but here’s an idea of what you could be doing :

Promoting and encouraging independence, while developing real life skills with the people we support all of whom have learning disabilities or additional support needs

Identifying new opportunities for integration, participation and inclusion, available to the people we support, both within our services and the community

Providing quality personal care, which could include bathing etc. depending on individual needs, while maintaining respect and sensitivity

Participating in household tasks, which include cleaning, cooking, ironing, washing etc. while encouraging the people we support to join in

Working with the people we support to implement appropriate strategies for when behaviours that challenge may occur

Engaging in conversation and sometimes having a belly laugh together over something silly!

Applicants must hold a full driving licence and have access to motorised transport.
