In order to better support our current portfolio and ongoing expansion we are now seeking a Head of ADME to report to our Chief Research Officer.

We are looking for a Head of ADME to add value to and build further internal and external drug discovery infrastructure to Exscientia.

Your role will be responsible for successfully supporting a portfolio of programs and improving Exscientia’s computational methods and design.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • An internal consultant and key member of Project teams. Fosters close relationships with Chief Research Officer, Head of Biology to successfully deliver across Exscientia’s small molecule project portfolio
  • Working directly with the Chief Research Officer, Chief Technical Officer and Head of Biology define and execute strategy to enhance Exscientia’s AI platform in the context of in vitro ADME, human PK and dose-to-human predictions and predictive toxicology
  • Help select, monitor and guide external CRO partners with respect to in vitro ADME and pre-clinical pharmacokinetic activities
  • As a potential member of Joint Steering Committees, engender trust with partners and bring composed experience to proceedings.

  • What will you bring to the role?

  • Likely educated to PhD
  • 10+ years in academic / industrial setting
  • Strong publication record
  • Proven contribution to development candidates
  • Clear advocate of computational methods and ADME modelling in a contemporary drug discovery setting
  • Comfortable interacting with teams in person and remotely
  • Evidence of using 3rd party resources to successfully support programs
  • Strong communication skills. Proven mentor and coach to multi-disciplinary teams
