About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Energy Planner with experience of energy consenting to join the team and the successful applicant will gain the chance to further their career and have exposure to a wide range of projects across our entire portfolio of clients.

We have an increasing pipeline of opportunities to deliver planning consents for major energy schemes and this will provide challenges using your technical expertise and give you the chance to develop your own career path at a multi-disciplinary consultancy.

Your duties will include :

  • Using sound technical skills, you will develop energy consenting topics including Electricity Act Applications and / or Marine Licence Applications
  • Using outstanding stakeholder management techniques, you will build relationships across our client base
  • Drafting consenting strategies, engagement strategies, planning reports and coordinating the preparation of consent applications
  • Take responsibility of managing components of projects both on time and to budget
  • Using a disciplined approach, you will communicate plans and strategies to a team and more junior members of staff
  • Essential skills :

  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and contributing key project workstreams
  • Previous knowledge of attending client meetings and general contribution to the development of an energy consulting business
  • Experience of promotion and contributing to bid preparation
  • Experience of drafting consenting strategies, engagement strategies, planning reports and coordinating the preparation of consent applications
