    You will join our Air Quality team

    As our new team member you will be part of a worldwide practice, characterised by the highest level of technical and scientific skills, informed by the specific needs of our clients.

    In the UK we work on a wide variety of air quality projects including environmental impact assessments of major master plan developments, large infrastructure schemes, urban developments and assessments of industrial emissions for both planning and permitting.

    Other work includes dust and odour nuisance assessments and air quality monitoring projects. Depending on experience opportunities may also exist to work on overseas projects.

    Your key tasks and responsibilities will will include :

  • Desk-based environmental baseline data collection and interpretation;
  • Building and running of air dispersion models using GIS and other suitable platforms;
  • Interpretation and analysis of results;
  • Report writing and preparation of figures;
  • Client liaison and local authority consultation and;
  • Assisting with the preparation of fee proposals.

    For this role, we believe your starting point is :

  • Ability to interpret environmental guidelines, policies, plans and legislative requirements;
  • Ability to accurately record environmental data;
  • Experience with using Air Dispersion Models (i.e. ADMS, ADMS Roads, Aermod)
  • Well organised and able to prioritise their own workload with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to use IT packages (including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, geographical information systems (GIS)) to manage data, prepare figures, drawings and project programmes; and
  • Appropriate degree in environmental sciences, engineering or a related discipline.
  • Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include : Being self-confident, diligent, proactive, taking initiative, willing to work flexible hours when required and able to build working relationships with colleagues and clients.

    By the very nature of the work, it is essential that you will have strong organisational skills, an eye for detail, and a willingness to undertake work away from the office occasionally.
