We’re looking for high calibre, well-rounded, aspiring medical writers, to join our award-winning, training programme, allegro.
allegro : learn, practice, consolidate, excel
allegro is a 12-month, fast-track training programme, with proven results. Successful allegro candidates join Ashfield Healthcare Communications as an Associate Medical Writer, on a full-time contract.
The programme comprises a 2-month, intensive, core-skill training period, followed by two agency rotations, each lasting 5-months.
During these rotations, as an allegro Associate Medical Writer, you will learn by working alongside some of the most talented people in the industry.
As a fully integrated, team member, you will help deliver contemporary, multichannel medical communication solutions across a range of therapy areas.
After 12-months, if you successfully complete the programme you will leave allegro and enter one of our multi-award-winning agencies as Medical Writers.
What experience do I need?
To be considered for the role you must have a 2 : 1 in a Life Sciences degree. No previous writing experience is necessary : we provide extensive training, development and mentoring.

What’s the recruitment process?
your biography should be less than 500 words and highlight your skills, passions and relevant experience.
Candidates with appropriate backgrounds will be asked to take a formal writing test. Those who demonstrate good core writing skills in this test will then be invited to an online Assessment Centre on the 6th & 7th of January.
The online Assessment Centre will comprise group activities and an interview; there will also be sessions in the day that provide opportunity for you to find out more about allegro and talk with Medical Writers who have recently completed the programme.
Successful candidates will start the allegro programme in February 2021.
