As a sewerage operator you will be part of a team working to maintain our sewerage network to meet quality and customer service standards in accordance with the waste water procedures and work instructions.
You will work with customers to resolve incidents and will be responsible for accurately collating and submitting feedback information from site, such as incident forms.
You will be responsible for your own health and safety as well as that of your team and any contractors, customers and the general public around you.
This role involves routine maintenance as well as reactive work and because we provide a 24-hour service this will include stand-by arrangements.
Ideally, you will already hold or be willing to undertake an NVQ level 2 in sewerage operations. You will be competent in the operation of a single man jetting unit and CCTV equipment in addition to being confined space working certified or able to be trained to undertake this work.
Streetworks certification for working in the highway would also be advantageous. Other skills include having basic IT knowledge and being PC literate and customer focused.
Possession of a valid driving licence is essential, preferably including category B + E. You will also be able to work in pressurised environments at all times, 45 hours per week.
