JOB SUMMARY

To prepare F&B areas by laying / clearing tables. To serve food and beverages, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction and service.

Experience :

Previous experience of food service in a similar style of operation preferred but not essential

Skills and Knowledge

Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)

Pro-active and reliable

Able to work alone and within a team

Flexible hours in line with business needs

Must be well presented and have excellent personal hygiene

Education or Certification

Good level of English essential

Basic Food Hygiene Certificated

SPECIFIC DUTIES

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position :

To ensure that you have a full product knowledge of all menu items and their service to ensure customer satisfaction.

To maintain a high standard of service within conference events at all times as laid down within the company service standards.

To promote sales and achieve maximum sales potential for both food and beverages.

Clear and lay tables throughout and after service. Ensure that the still room and service areas are clean and tidy at all times.

Deal with customer queries and try to resolve immediately. Making full use of the Guest Response procedures.

To communicate with others in the department to ensure excellent customer relations.

To ensure that service to the guests is of a prompt and efficient manner in line with company standards.

To play an active part in the Marriott International training and culture of the company

To adhere to the Marriott Uniform Standards at all times

Follow all Health & Safety Procedures

All Marriott Policies on Cash, Key and all Controls are adhered to and followed consistently.

OTHER

Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.

Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures.

Working hours as required to do your job but normally not less than your contracted hours.
