Teaching Personnel are recruiting an experienced, resilient, and personable SEN Teacher to join a special school in Enfield.

You will teach a class of 9 students aged 6-17 who all have profound and complex needs . They are all non-verbal and are wheelchair users.

There are 4 experienced TAs who work in the class. This is a long-term position (full-time).

Job Specification

The class will be following an informal curriculum. Strategies need to be in place for all learners.

Provide personal care for all students.

Work closely with 4 LSA’s to ensure that they are aware of the needs of pupils with social communication needs in their class

Provide advice and curriculum support so that pupils with PMLD can access a broad and balanced curriculum.

Manage members of the SEN provision team and work closely with the other staff to ensure effective service delivery.

An individual who can deliver their bespoke curriculum which is centred around developing the pupils communication skills and independence

Person specification :

Qualified teacher with ideally SEN experience.

Knowledge and experience implementing strategies for students with SEN.

Passionate commitment to the academic, personal, and social development of young people with a range of complex SEN.

Demonstrate consistent and effective planning of lessons to meet students differing learning needs

Ideally has experience teaching SEN students.

Has a DBS on the update service and has right to work in the UK!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
