  • Teaching Personnel are recruiting an experienced, resilient, and personable SEN Teacher to join a special school in Enfield.

    You will teach a class of 9 students aged 6-17 who all have profound and complex needs . They are all non-verbal and are wheelchair users.

    There are 4 experienced TAs who work in the class. This is a long-term position (full-time).

    Job Specification

  • The class will be following an informal curriculum. Strategies need to be in place for all learners.
  • Provide personal care for all students.
  • Work closely with 4 LSA’s to ensure that they are aware of the needs of pupils with social communication needs in their class
  • Provide advice and curriculum support so that pupils with PMLD can access a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Manage members of the SEN provision team and work closely with the other staff to ensure effective service delivery.
  • An individual who can deliver their bespoke curriculum which is centred around developing the pupils communication skills and independence

  • Person specification :

  • Qualified teacher with ideally SEN experience.
  • Knowledge and experience implementing strategies for students with SEN.
  • Passionate commitment to the academic, personal, and social development of young people with a range of complex SEN.
  • Demonstrate consistent and effective planning of lessons to meet students differing learning needs
  • Ideally has experience teaching SEN students.
  • Has a DBS on the update service and has right to work in the UK!
