Job Description Summary

Senior Scientist - Slough

We have a great opportunity available for a Senior Scientist to join our Research & Technology team based in Slough. To maintain Lonza Pharma & Biotech as a leading contract manufacturer through the development and optimization of new mammalian cell culture technologies.

This is a lab based role, delivering technical solutions for the next generation cell culture processes that meet industry demands.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a driven and experienced Scientist who would like to become a part of our dynamic team working on many interesting projects.

Senior Scientist will be encourage to attend conferences and have the opportunity to learn a huge amount of new skills.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with the upstream Research and Technology team
  • Plan and execute several complex experimental projects
  • Generate experimental results and reviews respective scientific documentation
  • Ensure all studies are scientifically sound and in line with current regulatory guidance
  • Ensure lab procedures are adhered to and supports safety assessments
  • Interested?

    What we need you to have :

  • Degree in Life Sciences
  • A strong R&D technological background in cell line and mammalian upstream process development
  • A good understanding of molecular and cell biology is preferable
  • A road and detailed technology competence in upstream process development
  • Demonstrated innovative skills and experience leading complex technology projects
  • A good level of communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix and project environment
  • Inventiveness and problem solving skills to develop new and expand current technical capabilities
  • Enthusiasm and motivation for working and solving very challenging problems
