We are seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our team providing exceptional care and support to individuals. The Senior Support Worker will ensure that support and care is always provided in a person-centred way, oversee a small team and communicate effectively to management, families and other professionals.
The role is fast paced and requires someone who can prioritise, be resilient and lead a team whilst offering excellent support and care to our individuals
Just ONE is a Health and Social Care Company looking for flexible, enthusiastic, compassionate and caring people to provide 24 hours support to vulnerable adults and children in various setting within the individuals home, community or supporting individuals with activities such as work placements.
Main Responsibilities include :
Rota management - work with your team to ensure all shifts are covered and shared fairly following a rolling rota. Update the office with any changes to shifts.
Attend and represent Just ONE at meetings alongside the coordinator
Ensure that the support provided is in line with the individuals agreed personal goals and outcomes, allowing them to be as independent as possible
Facilitating and supporting the engagement of individuals in the development or person-centred plans and support plans that facilitate choice and support achievement of personal goals
Advise and assist the coordinator to complete risk assessments
Supporting other employees in the area
Raise any safeguarding concerns regarding the individual
Ensure the team respect and promote the rights of the individual
Manage relationships with families and ensure that they are consulted and involved in accordance with the individual’s wishes
Complete supervisions of support team and inform coordinator of any actions
Provide advice and guidance to employees in support of delivering the service within the agreed framework
Assist with identifying training needs and communicate this to Head Office
Contribute to the service development and implementation of best practice in line with Just ONE’s vision and values
Essential Skills :
3 years + experience working within the Health Social care sector
At least an NVQ / QCF Level 2 in Health Social Care willingness to complete level 3
Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
Must be willing to workdays, evenings and nights plus a minimum of 1 sleep in per week
Desirable skills :
Previous experience as a senior in Health and Social Care
A Full UK Driving License (preferred)
Ability to prioritise actions to achieve goals set
