    ABOUT AccessHR :

    Our growing AccessHR team is responsible for providing advice and counsel to managers and employees on a variety of employee relations and / or labor relations and management issues.

    The European AccessHR lead will be responsible for leading the team, advancing the function, providing employee relations support to the business, and advancing BD’s culture in partnership with other COE leaders and partners in the region.

    Sitting on the EMEA HR Leadership team, this role has a major role to play in achieving our regional HR strategic roadmap.

    And, as a key member of the global AccessHR team, you will be a contributor to standardizing and evolving the function across all of BD.

    Role :

    Reporting into the Global Director, AccessHR and with a dotted line to VP HR EMEA, the European AccessHR lead will shape and develop the function across the region, leading the next chapter in our journey to creating a world class Employee Relations function across EMEA.

    Other responsibilities include :

    Lead the expansion and development of the COE in the region

    Provide leadership and day-to-day direction, hands-on support, and developmental guidance to a team of Employee Relations Advisors

    Develop, communicate, and implement employee / labor relations processes, approaches, guidelines, practices and operating procedures

    Act as escalation point for HRBPs and Employee Relations Advisors on complex cases and terminations

    Conduct internal investigations of high complexity / risk, documents findings and makes recommendations to management as appropriate.

    Acts as escalation investigator for investigations that may require additional examination.

    Collaborate with various partners and COEs to drive and shape company culture through training and other initiatives

    Stay current on employee and labor relations / employment law trends

    About you :

    We are seeking a real Employee Relations specialist with a true passion for the function. This role is about building and developing, so we are looking for someone bold and innovative with an energetic and engaging approach.

    Additionally you will have :

    Extensive employee relations investigation experience

    Proven management and leadership skills : coaching and developing a team, effectively leading through change, and the ability to successfully communicate and influence across a variety of stakeholder groups

    Ability to be successful in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities

    Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management across various functional areas and geographies

    Strong analytical skills and ability to exercise sound judgment based on policies, procedures, practices, risk factors and precedent

    Knowledge of employment law

    Experience supporting Sr. Business Unit, Function or Region leadership level client groups

    Bachelor’s degree. Preferably in Business Administration, HR Management, or related fields

    Minimum of 10 years of cumulative Employee / Labor Relations experience

    Experience managing a wide variety of complex, high risk and sensitive employment-related cases from intake to investigation to resolution

    This role can be based anywhere in Europe with accessibility to one of our major sites in EMEA including Ireland, UK, France, Belgium, Germany or Poland.
