Your role Your duties and responsibilities Work closely with ION’s internal communications agency, product teams, and other subject matter experts to implement a media relations strategy that promotes ION’s market initiatives, technology, product updates, awards, events, and so on.
Act as a liaison between ION stakeholders and our external public relations agency. Disseminate press releases highlighting ION announcements and industry-leading research.
Build and sustain relationships with key journalists through phone, email, and in-person correspondence. Manage, record, and complete requests for data and intelligence.
Monitor and assess media coverage. Ensure media mentions are captured, shared, and used as appropriate in reference materials.
Develop communications materials. For example, talking points, Q&As, statements, and reporter biographies. Create and actively manage and update media contact lists.
Other dutiesWe might ask you to perform other tasks and duties as your role expands. Your skills, experience, and qualifications Required Strong public relations background and experience, ideally in the technology sector or from a financial or publishing institution.
Adept in Microsoft Office, Cision, and Meltwater databases. The ability to thrive in an extremely fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines.
The ability to quickly grasp product and industry information and translate it for appropriate audiences. A creative, aggressive, self-motivated, and innovative communicator with strong writing and relationship management skills.
Preferred A bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.
