Do you want to join a research team working on the world's first Resilience Revolution?
The Centre of Resilience for Social Justice at the University of Brighton has been awarded a tender by Blackpool Council to provide and facilitate a collaborative research partnership that will identify evidence for the strengths and challenges of the Blackpool Headstart programme.
In 2016, The Big Lottery Fund awarded Blackpool Council £10 million to support young people's resilience over 5 years. HeadStart is a multi-
agency programme aiming to increase resilience in young people and improve mental well-being by building a resilience revolution across the whole of Blackpool.
This three year fixed term post has the following aims :
You will join a dynamic team of academics and community partners (including a new PhD student and a new Blackpool Council research post) developing and researching resilience-
based practice. You'll be employed by the University of Brighton as part of the School of Health Sciences and the Centre of Resilience for Social Justice but will be physically located in Blackpool.
It will involve regular travel to Brighton approximately once per month / every other month but also to different parts of the world to share our exciting research.
