Job Purpose :

Develop and deliver eSourcing solutions that reflect commercial insight and intimate understanding of the client’s business.

Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within contract and within MarketMaker4 quality standards

Key Responsibilities :

  • Draft project plans for every activity
  • Establish existing baseline and gain agreement of this with client and Account Manager
  • Interpret market research, RFx outputs to develop procurement solutions and efficiencies
  • Provide input into client’s scope of requirements and specification design
  • Evaluate and propose appropriate eSourcing solution and negotiation design
  • Manage and run eSourcing activities as proposed
  • Design appropriate evaluation criteria / scoring systems which will withstand supplier and client challenge
  • Gain stakeholder engagement at an appropriate operational level and influence effectively
  • Identify, monitor and manage project risks
  • Oversee supplier management throughout project
  • Devise negotiation plans and manage negotiation process with client and supplier(s)
  • Develop post event recommendation reports for client
  • Communicate and develop additional pipeline activities with the client as appropriate
  • Confirm savings achieved with client
  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience :

    Knowledge of :

  • Procurement processes and practices
  • Principles of business administration and economics as applied to the procurement function
  • Basic supervisory principles and practices
  • Some category management experience
  • Some experience of contract management
  • Proficiency using word, spread-sheets and presentation programmes
  • Ability to :

  • Analyze technical or complex purchasing problems and reach sound, independent conclusions
  • Read and interpret purchase requests, plans, drawings and technical specifications
  • Interpret market research data and produce and present reports of the findings
  • Coordinate multiple projects concurrently and meet critical deadlines
  • Make accurate mathematical calculations
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and files
  • Prepare clear, accurate, concise and often technical reports, specifications, requests for proposals, correspondence and other written materials
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work, in particular engaging with clients to develop trust.

  • Stakeholder engagement secured at project commencement
  • Quality insight delivered in all procurement activities / results presented to client
  • Project deadlines and contract adhered to
  • Leverage MM4 eSourcing Platform
  • Measures of Success :

  • Activities completed right first time when presented to client for final review and publish to bidders
  • All project objectives achieved
  • Tasks completed on time, within contract and to MM4 quality standards required
  • Client satisfaction on project(s) delivered and result(s) achieved
  • Savings equal to or greater than client targets
  • High-level of teamwork and flexibility within the MM4 organization
