It is an exciting time at L&Q, we have a huge ambition to build 100,000 new homes over the next 10 years and we need a strong financial reporting team to ensure this can be achieved.
We are currently looking for a financial modeller to join a successful, growing team. Reporting to the Financial Planning Manager, you will be responsible for the building and development of complex financial and business models for the L&Q Group and its subsidiaries.
To build, update and develop the L&Q Group and subsidiary long term financial models.
To support the Group in assessing the long term financial impact of key operations and business objectives
Undertake scenario analysis and stress testing of projects and the effect of capital expenditure and asset management on the business.
Produce long term financial plans and provide detailed statistical analysis on new business activities
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing commercial and analytical advice on the impact of new projects and optimal ways of financial structuring.
Ad hoc analysis for our peers in the sector, the regulator & government political parties when required.
Produce financial models to support borrowing and investment decisions.
You will need to demonstrate a proven track record of financial modelling and able to execute on a broad range of data and analytical techniques.

Your experience must include :
Expert level knowledge of Excel (Functions / Charting / Data Analysis)
Experience of VBA (Coding / User Forms / Class Modules)
Essential to have financial planning experience, including financially modelling.
Experience of financial statement analysis and proven track record of understanding & interpreting financial ratios & KPIs
Educated to a Degree level or equivalent experience
Excellent communication skills with proven business partnering experience.
Desirable Experience : Power BI experience.
Working knowledge of SQL
Preferably a degree in Business, Statistic or Computer Science or studying towards a recognised financial qualification (e.g. CFA / CIMA / ACCA).
