We are looking for an experienced and highly-motivated nurse to work alongside and lead our dedicated nursing team on the Trafford Renal Ward, at the Sussex Kidney Unit in Brighton.

The Sussex Kidney Unit is the main tertiary provider of renal services for East and West Sussex, with a catchment population of approximately 1.2 million.

The Trafford Renal Ward has 26 beds and provides care for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, receiving referrals from within our Trust, from GPs and the other local acute hospitals.

Haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis are both provided on the ward.

The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills coupled with a passion for developing nursing teams and delivering the highest quality of care.

They will have relevant experience in the management and delivery of care, along with a deep understanding of being effective in the wider development of the service and the hospital.

Excellent communication skills are essential along with substantial renal experience at Band 6 / 7.

  • Posts in the Trust are subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Criminal Records Bureau to check for any previous criminal spent and unspent convictions, reprimands, and cautions.
  • Appointment to this role will commence at the lowest salary point unless confirmed otherwise by HR Employment Services (Recruitment, Administration & Terms and Conditions)
