ENGIE are recruiting for a Procurement Manager to cover Healthcare and Education contracts across Yorkshire and the North West.

This is a permanent, full-time role which can be based at any of our offices within the Region. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The expectations of the Procurement Manager role are for them to be illustrate responsibility for maximising delivered financial value and enhancing visibility and perception of Procurement within ENGIE UK.

This would be measured by successfully and smoothly implementing new supplier contracts and delivering ongoing value and savings in line with the Procurement Policy.

Procurement Managers are assigned to a specific Operating Unit within ENGIE’s Public Sector division - this particular role will cover contracts across Leeds, Halifax, Wakefield, Blackburn and Burnley - where they must establish excellent working relationships with multiple contracts across a number sites.

Procurement Managers must become a trusted advisor to these contracts and the conduit between them and the wider Procurement team.

Reporting into the Senior Procurement Manager, this is an important role for the Public Sector Procurement Function which is key to success of wider Business Financial performance.

What is your day to day?

  • Delivering consistent and professional Procurement services to internal customers
  • Delivering value (including bottom line savings) on an ongoing basis, meeting specific in-year targets whilst proactively looking for new opportunities.
  • Engaging with internal Stakeholders to understand the requirement and support in delivering Procurement solutions that match these.
  • Be a driver in raising the visibility and perception of Procurement.
  • Managing suppliers who deliver services that are specific to the Business Unit and sourcing new suppliers who are best able to meet the needs of the Business;
  • ensuring best value, fitness for purpose, risk reduction and a quality service to the end customer.

  • Identify opportunities to deliver value by alignment with our Category approach and manage the successful delivery and transparent reporting of deliverables.
  • Identifying innovation for delivery to our end customers.
  • Streamlining procurement processes and procedures.
  • Delivering and exceeding on our sustainability commitments.
  • Ensure the spend they look after complies with the ENGIE UK Procurement Strategy, Policies and Processes.
  • Ensure ENGIE UK is leveraging parent company group agreements.
  • Input proactively to all reporting (compliance, spend, savings and other) including making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Publicise Supplier Framework Agreements and Contracts across the business to ensure colleagues are aware of who to buy from and how much to pay.
  • Ensure mobilisation solutions support individual client sustainability (CSR) commitments and ENGIE UK targets as appropriate.
  • Who are you?

  • Experience of similar multi-stakeholder organisations / roles
  • Suitable procurement, commercial and or financial / accounting or QS experience within a similar industry sector
  • Educated to degree / diploma level (or working towards) in either Procurement, Business, Law, Surveying, Accounting
  • Understanding and practical application of base UK law applicable to Commercial / contracts.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to tailor approach based on the audience
  • Financial acumen with an ability to analyse data and documentation with accuracy
  • Skilled negotiator with proven experience in a procurement / commercial environment
  • PC Literate with knowledge of MS applications e.g. Word, Excel
