£8.76 per hour & amazing benefits
Contract : 30 hours per week, part time
We’re more than just a business at Co-op. We’re a community retailer like no other, where being a member means more than just swiping a card.
We’re not owned by 1 person or a board of executives, over 4.6 million people contribute to the running and development of our business.
Through our membership scheme we give back to our communities twice a year through the sales of own branded products. Since 2016 over £26m has been raised for local causes all across the country.
That’s our Co-op difference.
Being a customer team leader isn’t like any other supervisor role. You’ll do more than set the pace in store and show customers where the bread and milk are.
You’ll role model great service, making sure the team always provides our customers and members with a brilliant shopping experience.
We’ll look for you to lead the team and help them promote our membership and our key difference of being a community retailer.
You’ll be hands on in helping train and mentor colleagues on how to prepare, present and handle our food, ensuring the store always looks its best.
And above all, you’ll support the team to keep the store safe and secure.
What you’ll do :
To be successful, you’ll need to have amazing customer service skills and ideally some supervisory experience. You must be able to show how you’ve built relationships with customers and colleagues and resolved difficult situations whilst remaining positive.
We’ll also look to see how you’ve helped set team targets and led a team to complete daily tasks. You’ll also be confident in taking ownership of work and coming up with new initiatives to support your store and increase sales.
We’d love to hear from you if :
When you join the Co-op you’ll become part of an organisation where principles are just as important as profits. You’ll get a competitive rate of pay including an increase after 6 months, premium rates for any hours worked between 10pm and 6am and if you work on a public holiday (not including bank holidays).
You’ll also receive great holidays, a pension with up to 10% employer contributions and discounts on all kinds of products and services.
We’re actively building diverse teams and welcome applications from everyone. But simply having a diverse workforce is not enough.
We want to create an inclusive environment, where everyone can contribute their best work and develop to their full potential.
We celebrate our differences, and recognise the importance of our teams reflecting the communities they trade in.
Once your application is submitted, you’ll shortly be sent an online assessment to be completed. This needs to be done within 3 days to be considered for the role.
