Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting a Legal Assistant to join our growing Development team in Manchester.

Role Responsibility

  • As a Legal Assistant your day to day remit includes;
  • Draft residential contracts and residential plot leases;
  • Issue plot sale packs;
  • Deal with enquiries on each site including title, searches and development enquiries;
  • Provide client with updates throughout
  • Engross documents;
  • Draft completion statements and TA13 forms;
  • Liaise with seller’s lender for redemption funds and letters of consent / DS1’s;
  • Update plots tracker; and
  • Provide more generalised secretarial-type admin support for the Manchester Development Team (working alongside the team’s existing, Bristol-based, secretarial resource), to include : - Document management and handling correspondence;
  • Scanning; Filing; File-opening / closing; Processing invoices to clients and dealing with straightforward client queries;
  • Assembling electronic and hard-copy engrossments; Deeds scheduling; Uploading documents to (and downloading documents from) extranets.

    You will be able to demonstrate a similar supportive, flexible and driven ethos and will have accumulated the following experience and skills :

  • Previous legal assistant experience
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Accuracy, good organisational skills and flexibility.
  • Ability to work well as part of a busy team.
  • Good knowledge of Word and Outlook is required and experience in Excel, PowerPoint and imanage would be beneficial.
