Contract : Permanent (1 Year Fixed Term)

Rate / Salary : £27-30k

Hours : Monday Friday Day Shift

JOB SPECIFICATION : HSE Officer

Adbaston, Shropshire

£27,000 £30,000 DOE

ONE YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT

Days Based Role

HSE Officer on a years fixed term contract required for a large manufacturer who have recently invested heavily on site.

They boast a state of the art production facility and offer a varied role for the successful candidate.

The role would suit applicants from a strong Health and Safety background. Applicants will ideally transfer from a FMCG or food manufacturing background.

You must have a working knowledge of H&S Legislation and will ideally have a NEBOSH qualification as a minimum.

Reporting into and working closely with the HSE Manager, the main purpose of the role will be to ensure that the site complies with statutory and company requirements to ensure a safe working environment for all employees within a large food production facility.

You will be responsible for compiling weekly and monthly reports and monitoring KPIs / targets in line with set objectives.

You will be required to investigate accidents etc and suggest / implement corrective action plans where necessary. You will get involved with both internal and external audits and work closely with other operational departments to ensure that training is rolled out to all teams in regard to H&S across the site.

The Role :

Ensuring site compliance with statutory and company requirements to ensure a safe working environment

Monitoring KPIs and introducing / implementing corrective actions

Weekly and monthly report writing and presenting findings to senior members of staff

Assisting with writing HSE procedures and SOPs

Involvement with both internal and external audits

DAYS BASED ROLE Fixed Term Contract

The Person :

HSE Officer from a FMCG / Food Manufacturing background

Must have a strong working knowledge of H&S legislation

Will ideally have a NEBOSH qualification as a minimum
