One of the largest legal institutions in the UK is seeking an experienced Telesales Officer (Outbound Customer Service) at their prestigious Chancery Lane offices in London.

This is a temporary role to start ASAP for a 5 to 6 month period and will pay £13.00 per hour. The main purpose of the Telesales Officer will be to act as the organisations representative when informing members, by telephone, about the valuable services and opportunities which they may choose to purchase.

The main duties of the Telesales Officer (Outbound Customer Service Officer will include : . Receive sales campaign instructions on a regular basis and undertake the following : desk research into each proposition being marketed to ensure the technical principles of each service are understood, familiarisation of each target segment prior to target engagement, call plan preparation.

Contact members and / or prospective members to : qualify their decision making ability, inform them of the Society's services and products, explaining pricing and answering questions, engage members in the benefits of the offerings, facilitate their decision to purchase a product or service and to help them conclude the next steps.

Answer telephone calls from potential customers who have been solicited through advertisements. Telephone, email or write letters to respond to correspondence from customers or to follow up initial sales contacts.

Use Microsoft CRM to record : sales activity including customer information such as name, address, and payment method, names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects contacted.

Generate weekly reports showing call outcomes and estimated conversion rates. Adjust call plans to better target the needs and interests of specific individuals.

Conduct client or market surveys in order to obtain information about potential customers. Ensure that knowledge of products and services is always up to date.

Liaise with internal customers such as events, marketing and service delivery to develop effective scheduling demand plans.

The ideal Telesales Officer (Outbound Customer Service) will have the following knowledge skills and experience : . Proven experience of high volume calling / telesales environment.

Proven experience of both repeat and new business canvassing. Proven experience of selling events and other membership services.

Excellent confident, articulate and persuasive telephone manner. Ability to switch projects and sales approach required at short notice.

Ability to manage and input to CRM technology. Proven experience of sales techniques. Good PC skills and attention to detail with strong administrative skills.
