Are you are an experienced Teaching Assistant / Support Mentor looking for your next challenge into education but you're not sure how, or not sure if you wish to commit to a degree until you have had the school experience?

We have strong, trusting relationships with our schools across Leicester, with many of our Teaching Assistant / Support Mentor accepting long term roles or going on to teacher training.

As a Teaching Assistant / Support Mentor you would go into our partnership schools and support teachers and their students on a 1-to-1 basis.

Your role would be to ensure the students are on task and engaged. You could cover a range of different subjects and so an in-depth knowledge of a particular subject is not necessary.

You should really have the willing to encourage the students and help them within lessons, you will be interested in the education system and a secondary school environment.

You will be a professional individual able to communicate exceptionally well with both staff and students. You will be a trusting and honest individual with great organisational and time management skills.

You must have :

  • Strong behaviour management
  • Interest in the current educational system
  • Aspiration to inspire our next generation
  • A great classroom presence
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great organisational skills
  • You will also need to have a current DBS check on the update system or be willing to complete one.
